Soul Cruisers...
is an ongoing body of work that is inspired by Shannon's passion for surf, travel, and God. She earned the nick- name "Soul Cruiser," from dear surf bros in college, and has kept the mellow surf-seeking gypsy attitude towards life ever since. " In these paintings I did my best to capture that moment in surfing where everything stands still, and instant bliss overcomes you. I'm inspired by the times that are burned into my mind when the colors of the water,and
all the surroundings are so intense. My senses are over- whelmed by the taste of saltwater, the sky, sounds of rushing water, joy, and pulsing adrenaline. It's these times that I especially give thanks to God for all of creation,inspiring us to be creative, and to Jesus for teaching us to Walk on water."
